Three Separate Waiting Rooms
Rani Pediatrics offers three waiting rooms — one for well-care, one for sick visits, and one for non-sick follow ups for script refills. We don’t want a well child getting sick at
the doctor’s office. We focus on cleanliness in our office.
Our delightful zoo theme helps your children feel at ease, and we offer TVs in our examination rooms.
Appointments
Make an appointment and be on time to minimize the time your sick child spends in a waiting room. Our goal 30 minutes for each patient from sign-in to seeing the doctor. Our average wait time is 28 minutes — compare that to the average of 3 hours!
Sick-Visit Appointments
Appointments are available for same-day sick visits. Call early as these do fill up quickly.
Well-Care Appointments
Please schedule checkups (physicals or visits that are required for refills) at least 1 week in advance. Same-day appointments need to be reserved for sick visits.
Please Arrive 10 Minutes Prior to Appointment Time
We understand that your time is valuable. We make every effort to see all of our patients on time. In order to provide you with prompt service, we need you to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment for every appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes after the scheduled time, your status can change from an appointment to a Walk-In.
Cancellations and No-Shows
Your appointment time has been reserved exclusively for your child. Therefore, we require a 24-hour notice for cancellations. Missing a scheduled appointment without calling to cancel is considered a No-Show. Remember, a No-Show means that another child who could have had an appointment did not get to see Dr. Rani that day.
Unfortunately, after three No-Shows we will no longer be able to offer you appointments and you will have to take your chances as a Walk-In for future visits. Walk-ins might have to wait several hours and still not be guaranteed to see the doctor. So, reserve and keep that appointment!
Health Forms and Letters
We are happy to complete forms for school, camp, etc. The charge is $5 for most forms and letters, but no charge if the form is brought in at the time of an appointment. If your child has not had a physical within the last year, please schedule an appointment so that we can complete the form with current information. Paperwork for online download will be available soon through the Rani Pediatrics Patient Portal.
After-Hours Calls
It is our goal to have phone calls answered by Rani Pediatrics doctors or staff, not recordings or answering services. Please reserve after-hours calls for emergencies only.
